Thanks in advance. I'd also love it if you teach me how to use PasswordsPro to crack these hashes.

Thanks Vince. Do you use PasswordsPro? or HashCat?

That's cool. I still find it hard to use both of them. Have you found the passwords to any other of those hashes.

Not yet Smile I'll give them another go this afternoon. PHPBB3 hashes take a fairly long time though.

Hmm, my site has Joomla Bridged to phpbb3 with Dual Login. Will it be easier for you if I give you the Joomla Hashes instead of the PHPBB3 ones?

BTW, thanks a lot. Can you tell me what's needed besides the 'Passwords Pro' program to find these passwords?

Also, which attacj is the best. I only seem to able to use the Preliminay attack which yields no results and the 'Brute force' attack, which has an estimated completion time of 2 days for most hashes.

The other attacks simply don't work.

The joomla hashes would be nice as they are much faster to crack Shocked

About the cracking, I'd go for a dictionary attack (have a look at the bottom of the forum in the wordlists section). It's the most efficient attack in my opinion, at least for salted hashes.

If you got a dictionary, go to the options in passwordspro. When you click on the "dictionaries" tab, you get a screen where you can make dictionary sets. Just add some to set n°1 at first. Then close the screen, select dict attack and it should run. If not, give me a call.

I didn't understand that part.
The dictionary settings are under Service->Settings
I clicked on the 'Dictionaries' tab and added the dictionaries
All_1-2
Numbers_1-4

When I run the dictionary attack it still does not work.

The problem might be that those two dictionaries are too small for you to notice the attack running. Try dictionaries above 50 mb and see what that gives.

Btw, are those dots included in the salt? Confused

Whoa, thanks. You must truly be really good with those programs, I'm still getting nowhere.

Any luck with this one?

Okay, now I seem to be getting somewhere with PASSWORDSPro. It works when I use hybrid-dictionary attack when I use a 4 MB dictionary I found here
