You actually aren't able to "unsalt" something. Salting means, that the salt changes the way of encryption. In case of DES for example, it changes the initialization-parameters of the algorithm (if I recall right), in case of MD5 it is mostly in front of the password.
Little example:
Password: bar
Salt: foo
Password to hash: foobar
So if you want to crack the hash, you'll have to put "foo" in front of the password you're trying. |

One step better, get PasswordPro.. It will take the salt and hash.(You can get it for free with some research ) If you really wanna brute force it really fast though. Get Extreme GPU Bruteforcer. It can do IPB format hashes at 75 Million passwords a SECOND! And no, an IPB doesn't require 32 digits to be cracked(Like the poster above me said somewhere else) You can crack it just as it is(Like if the password was"hellos" it would only be 6 digits), it's just gonna be a little more slower. |

hi! I don't have a good graphics card to use that gpu cracker, nor am I using windows to use that PasswordsPro
I can use john tho, what is the string that I need to set up to crack? can anybody crack it for me also?

John can't crack salted md5's(That I know of). The GPU Cracker and PasswordsPro is the only one I know of. PasswordsPro is to slow to crack your salted md5 hash..(I tried)
The GPU Cracker is really useless also.. Unless you buy it.. It only gives you 3 minutes in the demo they give you.(Unless there's another GPU cracker out there that's free) If I had a GPU Cracker though(That could last more than 3 mins) I would crack your password easily..... |

I'll add all your words tomorrow and run through them. If my program can crack it, it should take maybe a day or so to run through all my permutations.
One thing though: If the admin knows you got his last password (and hence changed it), odds are it is a fairly complex password and thus might be uncrackable. Still worth a try though. I'll post back asap.
If anyone has any other VB/IPB/Regular hashes, just ask me to add them and I shall make it so  |
