I ran a nuke site a while back, but sold it when I no longer had enough tine. Now I have plenty of time and am interested in getting back in the game. I had planned on starting my own site, but your site seems promising with your knowledge of security. I would be interested in helping out however i could. Is the site going to be on a CMS?

In the long term I plan to write my own CMS engine, based on PhpNuke ideas, but rewritten from scratch. This will take time of course, so I thought - what if I use a temporary PhpNuke CMS for my site? So I can show that PhpNuke could be secure enough to use as a site engine without the fear of defacement ...
This is not a final decision, I will think about this some time...

Pretty new to the Nuke environment, but really like the features and the community. I plan to build a few more sites based on Nuke. Pretty worried after reading the security stuff...

Would be glad to help anyway I can...

I would like to do all I can to help... I'm setting up a PHP Nuke site at the moment.. the development is slow as I'm trying to put in place as many patches as possible before I launch.. I think you are a valuable asset to the PHP Nuke community!

Just for an experiment I will use PhpNuke 7.3 as the engine for my website in the near future. I will apply all the thinkable security patches and use Sentinel as an additional layer of the security. Then let's see how long it takes to deface my website. All the hacking attempts will be placed on the site frontpage, a "to shame list", and all the IPs will be banned, permanently!

PHP Nuke is probably best as all the main exploits are discovered quick and closed quick.. Mambo is new and just waiting to be exploited as a challenge..

hrmm..
its getting off topic.
but i think that would be quite lame.
but easy to do..
what would be the point? they would just shut off their browser and they would be fine.

completley useless if you ask me...
