As many of you may noticed - waraxe.us server was unstable some time. So we decided to switch hosting and for now it's done.

If you notice any bugs or strange things on website, please let me know Smile

You mean:
pinpointhosting.net/

I am just wondering, they offer windows based hosting. (personally I left windows about two years ago cause of security issues, so I do not trust windows ... )
The other thing is I am used to webhosting management via cpanel which is quite great cause you have all controls in place ... But I am going to think about it, if my host do not come up again (two days downtime, somehow they make me feel angry, but it is a shared free hosting service with really nice offers).
Now I go to bed Very Happy It is 12:51 Am here so enjoy your time see you again tomorrow.

You must first decide, how much you are willing to pay for hosting per month. And then look for offers. Right now I am paying $35 per month and hosting has good performance and great uptime. I have additional hosting at dreamhost - it has bigger HDD space, unlimited domains, etc, but performance there is horrible. Still, it's useable for static websites. But dynamic forum hosting needs better performance Smile

And about my hosting provider - look better, it's not what you thought Wink

Ok, my host is back online http://www.profusehost.net/ But they are blocking everything on the http port at the moment. I have access via ssh to ftp, mysql and the command line, and it seems like they have formated everything ... (all files deleted and an old backup installed...) that is a lot work to do for me. But it is free (ok, I do some moderation in their forum but that is not that much work to do and quite an interesting job). And in general they have great uptime, not really fast servers but for some small ruby on rails and django (python) application (that is what I do at the moment) it is enough. But it they are going down again, then I am going to switch to paid hosting.

Thank you for your tips!

You are using some subdomain right now. I suggest (in future?) to buy domain name (it's cheap) and then use free or paid hosting. Because if you are NOT the owner of the domain, then all your work with website is in danger - real domain owner can boot you anytime and steal your traffic, community and so on. Pay ~ $9.90 per year and you can be real domain owner! It's worth it!

Yes, sure you are right but there is nothing important on the webspace at the moment, just a small preview of a blog (not my final model but something that works) and then some testing codes in ruby and python. I want to design a professional homepage and buy a domain, but at the moment I am quite busy (I'm a student and exams are coming soon Wink ) after the exams I am going to investigate more time in my homepage and then I might buy a domain and some space. But at the moment it is for testing only.

I use hostmonster.com They are cheap, secure, and have excellent uptime. Only problem might be performance during peak times.
