Hello,

It's been a while, I've just been collecting words, and writing dumb php scripts. Recently I had the urge to get a new AIM screen name, and I really wanted swanson. However, some bloke out there already has it. I was wondering if there is some way to brute force the pass? Is anyone aware of some existing software that takes a word list? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Smile

Bruteforcing a password is == to a Denial of Service attack, which in this case would be against a major, major corporation called AOL, which is == Prisontime or at least some other punishment.

Bruteforcing attacks are so outrageously inefficient and these days well-monitored that its not as if AOL's technical team is going to not notice a couple thousands of attempted logins on a single account.

Hack other websites that the victim signed up on. Google his email account see what you find. Maby he reuses for passwords?

This could be a long task but if you want info thats the way to get it...

You could make a phishing page for something like a widget that requires the user to be logged in.

phishing and attacking other sites he uses are much better ideas than brute forcing, btw.
