hello,
i hav the pass of an admin, but when i try to connect in the Admin CP(http://****/forum/admin/index.php), i have this message :
when i put the login & pass, connection failed ! i can't enter to the ACP, the pass work in the forum sign in, but they dont let me enter to the ACp
how i do to get the pass & login of the ACP ?? |

| the admin put a .htaccess file in there requesting a user/pass login from the .htpasswd file. Not much you can do unless you get get through somewhere else. |

That login box popping up hash nothing to do with the actual admin cp. It's an extra login set up by the owner of the site. The password for this popup is stored in a .htpasswd file somewhere on the server, mostly in the home directory.
If you're lucky, the popup goes away after clicking the cancel button a few times but if the owner has set it up correctly, there's no way of getting in except for some special ways (which i'm sure some other members here know way better than I do). |

that's a built in option in IPB 2.3... I'm sure it's been set up correctly, because there are instructions given in the ACP and if you follow them there's no way something to go wrong....
Does this site has a gallery, portal or something else? |
