It's not md5, more like SHA-1. And it can be salted.

SMF hash algo is sha1($username.$pass)

So you need to provide username too!

It can be possible, if password is not very complex. Still, I tried wordlists in my possession and some bruteforce and got nada. If you can afford lot's of computing power and time, then it may be crackable, who knows ...
