Hiya all!
I've been watching this site for more then a year now, checking some MD5 hashes, phpBB tutorial, looking here and there about web security... and I finally decided to register. "It was about time" you might say! 
In fact, I didn't know if I could make some request here, so I'm trying my luck.
First of all, I do not have enough free time to learn assembly and, obvisouly so, the way to reverse engineer some software I want to crack. So yes, feel free to point me in the right direction with tutorial, white paper, useful software, but do not think I'll dive head on in this learning process: I'm allready in PHP and other web application, not to mention other occupation... So the fews seconds left I have would preferably invested in resting this tired brain! 
I'd like to know if anyone (or anything, talking about great software) could help me find the "registering" key of a software called (may I say the name? edit me if not) "COLE StreetSmart". This is a marketing software that provide a database of phone number and such (for all I know).
It gives a 250 credit limit to export the database, which is quite low, considering I need ~22500 entry in this DB. ^^
I allready found out a way to reset the "counter", but I'd rather try to crack the code instead of reseting the counter nearly a hundred time.
At this point, the legal line is shrinking... it IS legal to reset the counter (uninstall and reinstall the software)... But cracking is not.
I do not want to give a bad first impression, so I'll stop here and check for further replies to this topic, watching for pointer. In any case, thanks for your time!
Oh and if anyone could explain to me how numbers are supposed to be stored in files (the two following file are where the credits are stored)... I managed to find some, but if I could set the credit to 30000, cracking would be optional. I have a few example here : | Code: | Cmswin.dat

Got them by "Hex viewing" the file itself.

Basically - you want someone to crack this software for you? Cracking can be hard and time consuming work. So i'm not surprised, than nobody answered. I suggest to look for warez releases or cracks and if there is no public cracks, then search for alternative software. Or buy full version, use it and then return and get refund  |

In fact, asking for someone to crack the software would have been asking for too much... this is why I though that, by providing the way the software count its credit, it would have helped.
The software limits the user to 250 export credit and I needed about 25000.
So if anyone had, just by looking to the value in the file, understood how it worked, I would've been pleased to edit the thing to 25000 limit.
In any case, I can export them all 250 at the time... it will be long but might still take less time then to crack the thing.
I'll keep looking, while exporting 250 data once in a while. |

Yes, cracking was sucessful, actually it was very easy - no exe compression or encryption, no obfuscation, no anti-crack measures, just plain byte-patch - basically beginners level crack  |

Yes, i cracked that software successfully and removed export restrictions, so that any amount of entries from database can be exported. But this crack is private and I will not spread it through all the internet. Still, if you have something to offer in return, then you have a chance to get this crack in your possession. |
