Hmm i don't actually know if this post should be in this category...

Anyways, I remember in the first win xp times that was possible when you were in lan with another pc to send messages to the computers in your lan. Nowdays is there something possible to do like this (or maybe execute some kind of code in the remote pc) when you are in a lan with someone?

As far as I know, it's only capable for sending spam messages and potential social engineering tricks.

hmm yeah i was aware of this thing, but i think in sp2 it's disabled by default...

Question

Use "net send" command in cmd to communicate with other pc's on lan.To execute code in other pc's try to scan the lan with a scanner(network scanner) and exploit any windows vulnerabilities using metasploit framework(u can execute codes through meterpreter).(Note:Due to the DEP protection in windows xp sp2 little difficult btw the earlier versions are easily exploitable)
