I'm trying to use NetSupport Manager 10.5 I used a keygen by "Embrace", and it activates the software and sets the correct number of connection my license can have. However each time I start the program, I must re-activate. I looked into it to try and find out why. I found that the license information is stored in a text file titled "NSM.LIC". I backed up the file and compared the version made using keygen with version made by default when you do the 30 day trial. Below is a copy of each of those.

30-day trial:
Code:
1000
0x6d49f2bd

; NetSupport License File.
; Generated on 09:24 - 18/07/2007

[[Enforce]]

[_License]
control_only=0
expiry=14/12/2008
inactive=0
licensee=SAM
maxslaves=100
os2=1
product=10
serial_no=NSM348484
shrink_wrap=0
start=13/11/2008
transport=0

keygen:
Code:
1000
0xf72b6cc5

; NetSupport License File.
; Generated on 09:24 - 18/07/2007

[[Enforce]]

[_License]
control_only=0
expiry=
inactive=0
licensee=SAM
maxslaves=100
os2=1
product=10
serial_no=NSM348484
shrink_wrap=0
transport=0

Do you see the differences. I believe that the reason I have to re-activate every time is because for whatever reason the expiration date isn't being inserted into the file, which is confusing because on the screen when you insert the serial, number of clients, etc. it also prompts for expiration date.

Well, I did the obvious thing first and just tried to add my expiry date in manually. When I go to start the program I get an error saying that the NSM.LIC file is missing or invalid (gonna go with invalid because I know it's there as I'm looking at it.). Next I noticed the hash value at the top (line 2) and tried to generate my own hash of the file. I believe it to be CRC32 hash because that's the only one that makes that number of characters for a file (that i'm aware of). However when I replaced the default hash with the one I generated, it doesn't work. I'm a complete newb at all of this, and barely know what I'm doing, mostly just stumbling through it. Though I was able to locate a "publicKeyToken" from the program executable, but I'm not sure how to use that to generate a proper hash. The NSM.LIC file is created during program installation/setup; setup prompts you for the license information before it begins to install. I found the same "publicKeyToken" in the installation program as well.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
