I have noticed though that HashCat has problems with longer salts... not sure why. Also Hashcat can generate a salt if you dont have that part but finding it is very very uncommon. Either you haven't got the password in your dictionary, you're using the wrong hash type crack or very unlikely your cracker is skipping.
