how ?????????,,

I have done the following :

wget http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/5/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.20-1.2320.fc5.src.rpm

and next

rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.20-1.2320.fc5.src.rpm

Result, reflecting the following

bash-3.1$ rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.20-1.2320.fc5.src.rpm
error: cannot write to %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
bash-3.1$ error: cannot write to %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
bash-3.1$

why???????????

What you are trying to do? Update kernel? I first tought that you are trying to root that box? You probably got that error message because you need root privileges to write that folder.
