Hi all

I will be interviewed in couple of days on tv "an educational episode" about hacking methods\techniques, phishing, password cracking, securing pc's

I am planning to show a live example of what i mentioned previously but i need some more material to make the episode longer, any suggestions about any good things i can show to audience for educational purpose?

thanks in advance

Wireless hacking and SQL injection kung fu are popular these days. You can always set some web site locally, use passwords that will be easy to crack or the one you have in your wordlist allready setup. You can't really give real world example on TV...i mean you can, but get permission for that Wink

Show them cracking of WEP protection, teach them of better one, also tell them to change their router default password. Amazing how a lot of peoples do take time to set router, set wireless key, but nobody really change router password. It's all simple stuff (except SQL injections. but you can give one of those ' or 1=1-- examples). If you go into too many detail you will confuse them Wink

As for securing PC's ...well...tell them to use linux Very Happy
