But there can be other ways getting into the webserver. If I remember correctly, then developers did even third party source code audit for revealing weaknesses, so I don't believe in direct attacks against phpbb 3. As it was mentioned here and a few other sites, a good way to get into phpbb3 forums is through a site on the same server. My phpbb3 forums got hacked 4 months ago because I hadn't updated my Joomla site. They injected SQL into the login script on Joomla and gained access to all the databases and from there gained control of both joomla and my forums. I also have had problems with other forums' mods and admins, so I am too looking for some way to get in as an admin or mod. I looked into the server addresses and it just so happens that their forums/site is hosted by the same company and is on the same server. How might I go about gaining access to their site?
