I have a php nuke 7.6 site and my domain is really just a subdomain I think, its www.felosizworld.com but in order for all my modules and such to work I had to use my host url www.securesystemtech.com/host453. Anyway, lately Ive been looking at my http referrers and with both urls I have seen where people are trying to use exploit urls to either gain admin access or exploit my site in some way.. Things like install.cgi, modules/admn/superuser/pass0.0.0.0 , and the list goes on. I clicked on these urls and each one was just directed to my index which I guess is a good thing. I dont know why anybody would be targeting me but my host does has lots of enemies and the server is always getting DoSsed on a daily basis. I had installed a ddos block but Im more worried about someone defacing my site and/or exploiting it in a certain way. Is there anything I can do to help secure my php nuke site? Some guys at zone-h told me to install modsecurity but I looked at it and it seemed that was for the server admin to install and I really didnt understand it. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I am not lazy and I do try to read up and learn everything on my own before answering questions, I would just appreciate a knowledgable answer in this field. Thanks and I hope I posted this in the right category.
