The simplist way is with shell_exec(), system() etc.

To move or rename:
system("mv /path/old_location/abc.gif /path/newlocation/abd.gif");
To make a copy:
system("cp /path/old_location/abc.gif /path/newlocation/abd.gif");

Thats all!

Code:
<?php
$file = 'example.txt';
$newfile = 'example.txt.bak';

if (!copy($file, $newfile)) {
echo "Failed\n";
}
?>

in this code it is use function copy $file it is your file to copy $newfile it is your copied file Smile if you don't know how use it you should go to google.com and search "copy php" Wink
