Basicaly im trying to get webscarab to work so i can use the webgoat practices. All the tutorials tell me to change my proxy servers on fireforx (i am using firefox 4) so it is like this. Manual proxy selection. http proxy: local host Port: 8008 ssl Proxy: local host Port: 8008 The local host is 127.0.0.1 And web scarab is set to use this as standerd. Now when i use these setting's. webscarab comes to life. Problem is I keep getting the error message: Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. its also the same in IE as well. but just gives the cannot load page error. I have tried changing the proxy in firefox to a free proxy server. Dispite it being very slow firefox could load pages up. But when i imputed this data into webscarab, it was dead, no activity at all. Also tried this in IE as well. and the same thing. What am i doing wrong, and what can I do to resolve my issues. anyhelp would be great.
