If I understand correctly you'd like to make your ~myusername directory forbidden. What you're talking about is permissions. The permissions of the root's web directory is restricted, making it so that the outside user may not view the contents. If you'd like the "myusername" users to be restricted, you must use chmod to change the permissions of that directory. Something like:
chmod 600 directory_name
will do the trick. |

In this case you will have to edit the httpd.conf. Otherwise you could maybe do something with a .htaccess protection.
