hi there, finally the forum has been updated (the one that I am aiming to) and the admin has not deleted the docs dir yet, so there it is:

so.. what version of phpbb is this? and can it be broken?

PhpBB 3 RC5 is the version he is using. If you goto the phpBB website and look through the change logs for the future versions you might find something of use.

PhpBB 3.x seems to be rock solid so far against any exploiting scenarios ...
